Thank you for purchasing a Borla Performance X-Pipe.
This Borla Performance X-Pipe (Part number 60090) has been designed for the 2001-2006 BMW M3 equipped with a 3.2L inline 6-cylinder engine and automatic or manual transmissions.
Borla Performance Industries recommends that an exhaust shop or professional after market parts installer, who has all the necessary equipment, tools and experienced personnel needed for proper installation, should perform the installation of this system. However, if you decide to perform the installation, we recommend someone should help you. Ensure the installer uses all under car safety precautions including eye protection.

Original H-Pipe Removal
Note: With a used vehicle, we suggest a penetrating spray lubricant to be applied liberally to all exhaust fasteners and allowing a significant period of time for the chemical to lubricate the threads before attempting to disassemble.
1. Unbolt and remove the center support bar shown in figure 1 from the vehicle. Place the hardware to the side.
2. Unbolt the two support brackets shown in figure 2 leaving the rear most bracket attached to the exhaust. Place the hardware to the side.
3. Unbolt the two flanges shown in figure 3 located on the driver side of vehicle just before the rear muffler assembly.
4. Using a muffler stand or an additional person to hold the exhaust system up in place, unbolt the rubber hangers from the vehicle. There are two on the driver side of vehicle and one on the passenger side. Carefully remove the rear muffler assembly from the vehicle.
5. Using a muffler stand or an additional person to hold the h-pipe up into position, unbolt the two flanges shown in figure 4 located behind the catalytic converters and carefully remove the h-pipe assembly from the vehicle as shown in figure 5. Place the hardware to the side.
6. Remove the rear most support bracket from the original h-pipe assembly and using the original hardware and rubber isolators, install it on your new tail pipe assembly as shown in figure 6.
