Short Description
The sixth generation of the Maxima is built on the versatile FF-L platform that Nissan also uses for the Altima, the Murano, and the Quest. This Maxima innovates with a four-seat version and a sunroof – called Skyview – that doesn’t open. The new Maxima is longer, wider, and higher than the previous version. Still a frontwheel drive, this sedan is available in SL and four- or five-seat SE.

Interior and trunk
It is easier to climb into the front seats than in the back because of the rear slope of the roof. Front-seat comfort ranges from good to excellent, depending on how tall the occupants are. The backrest is not quite high enough for tall persons to rest their shoulders on it, plus it the upper portion thrusts them forward. Others will find lateral and lumbar support insufficient. Thanks to the tilt, telescopic steering wheel (in the version with leather seats only), the driving position suits drivers of all sizes.

The three-seater bench is comfortable enough for two adults. Legroom is good, but headroom is just a bit tight for taller occupants. The backrest folds down in the classic 60/40 split.
